The Witch's Hat

The playground is well used at all times of the day - even in cold weather. It is conveniently located for the local Primary Schools.

The slide. Use was made of the slope of the site to create different levels in the playground.

There are views out over the city from the play area too.

The White Horse of Heeley

A white horse has been added to the Mound in April 2000 - it commemorates a horse that died in a fire at Heeley City Farm in 1995. It will be visible from all over the city and will encourage visitors from further afield.

Local people making the horse.

The willow houses are a special feature of the Park. The are made under the guidance of an expert in weaving living willow. On the ground in the centre there is a mosaic made by children fro the neighbouring youth club.

The Boulder

The Boulder has been constructed out of concrete - it is used as a practice wall by all age groups and all levels of skill.
