Present work includes an interdisciplinary project on the new role of the planning professions, financed by the Academy of Finland, and the project Communicating Urbang Growth and Green (GREENSCOM), financed by the European Union, the 5th framework programme.

Specific know-how relevant to the C11 Action is planning theoretical, professional and communicative aspects dealing with the urban green.

Institute of Urban Planning and Design, Department of Architecture, Helsinki University of Technology

 

- present work in connection with the action subject

Aim: To give undergraduate and post-graduate education in the fields of urban planning and design, as well as carry out research on issues relevant to the practice and social context of planning.

 

Present work in connection with the Action subject:

The institute of urban planning and design will organise and facilitate cooperation in Finland on the theme of the action, as well as provide theoretical and professional knowledge on the contemporary problems that planning or the urban greenstructure faces.

Networks meaningful to the Action Density and Green Structure Network. The University of Hlesinki is also the only university in Finland that gives education in landscape architecture, and thereby provides a connection to the research work in that field.
