Six years of professional practice in a Municipal Parks Department (planning and design); eight years of University employment (Landscape), including teaching Landscape to American students (DIS Study Program); seven years of research employment in the Danish Building Research Institute

Urban greenspaces and greenstructures in urban planning,
Focusing on: potential of the urban green in relation to urban metabolism, biodiversity and recreation, on functional and architectural qualities and on the interaction of the different political, user and other actor groups involved in the planning and management processes.

The Institute works for Danish building and the built environment with all the parties involved, from politicians to users. The Institute aims to contribute to increased quality and productivity by providing and communicating research based knowledge to the relevant parties in building, housing and planning.The main fields of research if the Institute are architecture, housing and welfare, urban development and policy, urban ecology and sustainability, condition surveys and durability assessment, productivity, wall and glass structures, low-energy buildings, energy and indoor climate, and environmental impact from building activities.
The Institute is organized in three research divisions

Each division is organized in research groups. Relevant to the COST C 11 Action subject is the work of the groups of Urban ecology and sustainability, Urban development and policy and Architecture, all of which belong to the Housing and Urban Research Division.The staff of this Division currently counts 21 researchers and 6 PhD students of different professional backgrounds such as sociology, civil engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, geography and economy.
The Institute supports the COST C 11 Action by funding the participation of one MC-member and associated secretarial assistance. Meeting facilities at the Institute may be used by the Action.
